Melissa’s expertise in education and homeschooling is broad spanning topics from early childhood education to lifelong learning, skills and content learning, and how to incorporate educational philosophies into the learning environment. She earned a B.A.Ed. in Special Education with an academic specialization in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University. She earned her M.Ed. in Elementary Education with emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Instructional Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
In addition to her years of service in education, Melissa started serving on nonprofit boards when she was 16 and has garnered decades of experience in non-governmental, governmental, and religious nonprofit work. Serving as the executive director of a developing nonprofit in the museum field gave her unique insight into how boards and paid staff should work together in service to their mission in the community.
